Happy second week of One Room Challenge! I’m so excited to share the mood board I have planned for the nursery.
It’s a mix of the three mood boards I shared last week. I initially had the attention to go all out but, I quickly realize how expensive everything was going to be. Babies are already expensive and I couldn’t justify spending so much when the money could be used elsewhere. Therefore, I’m going to shop my home for a lot of the decorations and maybe splurge on one or two items.
Luna’s Mood Board
Here is her mood board! One of the splurge items is the wallpaper that we will be using for her accent wall from Lulu and Georgia. This is my first time tackling wallpaper so I’m excited to learn something new.
For her dresser/changing table I’m going to upcycle an old IKEA dresser that I have. The one on the mood board is the inspiration. I’m hoping to give the front parts the fluted look, a fresh coat of paint, and update the hardware to round brass knobs.
Right now, the room is currently a “junk room” it is where all of the unwanted things go. The plan for next week is to go through and clean up the room and organize as much as possible.
