Hi Y’all! As you can tell by the title I am back with another One Room Challenge. If you were here last Spring, you know that I gave my laundry room a makeover. I know what you must be thinking, “Thavy, you barely finished that one” and you would be correct. I definitely overestimated my ability and under delivered. Shortly after starting the Spring ORC I found out I was pregnant. Well, first trimester hit me like a mac truck and made it really difficult for me to stay on track. Unfortunately I didn’t get to finish my laundry room on time. However, I do love what I was able to achieve and complete during the duration of the challenge. You can read about all of that here.
I’m going into my third trimester now but I feel like I’m a little bit more prepared this time around. Also, for the fall challenge I will be working on the nursery! I have been thinking about what I’m going to do with the nursery since I found out I was pregnant. Baby girl is due in December so I thought this would be the perfect motivation I needed to get her room completed before she gets here!
The plan for her Luna’s nursery is to do something gender neutral. I want to be able to reuse most of the items for all future babies. I created 3 gender neutral nursery mood boards that I also shared on Instagram and put it to a vote. ( #1 won with #2 coming in a close second!)
Since then, I have decided to go a slightly different route. Tune in next week to see what I have decided for her room as well as the inspiration behind the choices I made! Also, don’t forget to check out the One Room Challenge website to see what the featured designers’ projects are as well as all of the other guest participants! – XO Thavy
